Horses are a passion of mine, I’ve been riding on and off since I was a child and have spent the last five years riding regularly at Halifax Lancers. Any free time I can find to spend at the barn with the horses is wonderful and for the past several years I’ve also been photographing many of the riders and their favourite horses! Now it’s time to bring my portraits sessions to other Nova Scotian Equestrians!

There are several options for sessions. For folks who just want some great frame-worthy portraits that capture their horse’s personality the portrait package is for you! I’ll travel to you and we can take some photos in your paddock or arena or even go for walk on some trails or in a field.

If you want to get in on the action too the horse & rider package will capture you and your horse together. We can stick around home for some portraits near your barn or paddock, and we can go for a walk to a nearby trail or field.

And for riders who want shots of it all the portrait & riding package includes everything in the horse & rider portrait package and I’ll also capture you and your horse working together, whether you want to set up some jumps in your arena, canter around a field, or trot down some trails.

Have more than one horse you want to capture or multiple people in your family want to be included? No problem! Additional horses and people can be added on to any package for a small fee. Shoot time may increase depending on the number of horses and people attending.

All shoots include a pre-shoot consultation. This allows me to get to know you and your horse and what you’re hoping for from our shoot together. We can chat by email, over the phone, or get on a video call.

Currently only on location outdoor shoots are available and will be weather dependant. I will touch base the night before our appointment to confirm and discuss options if the weather isn’t going to cooperate. I don’t recommend indoor arena shots as lighting can often be difficult.
