Family sessions are great for getting frame worthy images of your family that aren’t from a a selfie camera or shots that include parents and not just the kids.
I approach family shoots similarly to events in that I’m trying to be more of a fly on the wall and capture the family interacting naturally. I want our session to feel like it’s just family hanging out, going for a walk and taking some photos.
All of my family shoots are done outside to take advantage of natural light and lots of space to wander and find creatives locations. We can choose a place that’s important to you, perhaps a favourite family outing spot that the kids love. Or we can find a new place to explore a capture your adventure! The key is to make sure that everyone is comfortable and can be themselves. Want the family pet to join in on the fun? I'm always happy to welcome animal family members to our shoots too!
